The South African Communist Party (SACP) General Secretary Solly Mapaila conveyed a message of heartfelt condolences to the SACP Central Committee member, Limpopo Premier Chupu Stanley Mathabatha, and the entire family, as well as relatives, on the sad loss encountered.
Mrs Maggie Mathabatha, the patron of the Limpopo First Lady Trust from 2013, passed away on Wednesday following a short illness.
“This came as a shock to us. On behalf of the SACP, I wish you all the strength you need during this time of profound sorrow and mourning. Our hearts go out to you and the entire family, dear Comrade Stan. While no words can ease your pain, I assure you of our full support as you cope with the untimely loss of your wife”, said Mapaila.
Through the Limpopo First Lady Trust, Mrs Mathabatha mobilised resources and spearheaded important social interventions to improve the wellbeing of the people, focusing on the disadvantaged, acknowledged the Limpopo Office of the Premier with appreciation in its statement of condolences on Wednesday. This work will have to deepen and widen in scope, in memory of the departed.
