Monday, 11 November 2024: - The story titled “MK Party plots alliance with SACP to challenge ANC” by the Sunday World of 10 November 2024 refers. As this headline suggests, the story is based on what the MKP is apparently plotting. While correctly referring to a recent interview by the Sunday World Engage with the SACP General Secretary Solly Mapaila, where he stated that “I never close the possibility to engage with forces opposed to capital in this country, irrespective of their orientation”, the story did not go further to underline that the SACP has not initiated any engagement with the MKP. Neither has the SACP received any request for formal engagement.
