Saturday, 27 December 2025: - The security cabinet of the settler apartheid Israeli state has approved the creation of 19 new settlements in the West Bank in contravention of international law. This decision of the apartheid Israel government bares the political belligerent nature and ambitious plans of Zionists to suppress the prospects of the Palestinian state going forward.
The South African Communist Party (SACP) condemns this latest expansionist act by the apartheid Israeli regime and calls for the United Nations and all peace-loving people across the world to take every practical action to prevent such a move.
The annexation of new lands in the West Bank this week follows an approval of 22 new settlements in May this year, marking a remarkable increase in Israeli’s territorial greed and deepening of its apartheid agenda.
The fate of the West Bank is intricately connected to the fate of the struggle for liberation of the Palestinian people as a whole. As such, apartheid acts aimed at intensifying the illegal annexation of new lands in the West Bank amount to a strategic political sabotage of the two-state solution, and, more importantly, sabotage any realistic prospect of attaining a fully independent, free and sovereign Palestinian state.
The SACP condemns this decision to illegally annex territory in the West Bank and calls for the working class across the world to fight against this colonist move and further calls upon the United Nations to utilise international law to intervene in this case.
