The Ahmed Kathrada Foundation together with the South African Communist Party invites members of the media to a briefing on Mandela Day, Thursday, July 18 on confronting the state capture fightback.
The briefing will highlight the need for ongoing mobilisation against state capture and what has become known as the 'fightback' agenda.
It will reflect on key current issues including the targeting of public representatives, civil servants, whistleblowers and others who have spoken out against state capture.
It will also reflect on recent developments from the Commission of Inquiry into Allegations of State Capture.
It will outline calls and plans to begin confronting the state capture fightback and defending our democracy.
First Deputy General Secretary of the SACP, Solly Mapaila, will be amongst the speakers at the press briefing, which is set to take place at Constitution Hill, Johannesburg.
