The South African Communist Party (SACP) and its class ally the Congress of South African Trade Union (COSATU) in Gauteng has held a resoundingly successful 2019 Elections Blitz in the Germiston CBD, Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality.
The outreach which kicked off in Johannesburg in August and went to Kempton Park and the City of Tshwane in September has been mobilising communities across Gauteng to ready themselves to vote in the upcoming 2019 National and Provincial Elections.
The SACP and COSATU volunteers who took part in the campaign were received warmly by residents who expressed their concerns with the ANC-led Alliance, but also voiced their unwavering support for the people's revolutionary movement.
The 2019 Voter Readiness Blitz and the Red Brigades will continue engaging with working class communities across the province to urge them to check if they appear on the voter's roll, confirm their physical address with the Independent Electoral Commission.
