SACP expresses its message of sincere condolences to the family, comrades, friends and community of Comrade Tumisang Bojabotseha, the Party`s Western Cape First Deputy Provincial Secretary and dips the red banner in his honour
2 May 2017
The South African Communist Party (SACP) has learnt with sadness and shock about the Passing on of our SACP First Deputy Provincial Secretary, Comrade Tumisang Bojabotseha, 45. Comrade Tumisang passed away around 22h00 on 30 April 2017 at a hospital in Cape Town after a short illness.
The SACP dips its red banner and salutes the departed leader of the working class. Comrade Tumisang was an exceptional Marxist-Leninist thinker, his love for the theory of scientific socialism underpinned his commitment to political education and our struggle for complete liberation and social emancipation which can only happen under a socialist society and ultimately under a communist society.
Comrade Tumisang was serving as an Advisor to the Chief Whip of the Majority Party in Parliament, Comrade Jackson Mthembu. He also served the ANC as an organiser and a senior researcher of the ANC Caucus in Parliament.
We have lost not only our SACP First Deputy Provincial Secretary in the Western Cape, we have lost a dedicated organiser, an articulate and competent educator, an advisor, political administrator and a Marxist policy intellectual.
Comrade Tumisang`s organisational skills and high level of analytical sophistication will indeed be solely missed in the ranks of the ANC headed Alliance.
Comrade Tumi`s contribution will live on and strengthen all those who are left behind to continue fighting for the liberation of the working class from the bondages of the unemployment, poverty and inequality. His sudden departure comes at a time the SACP in the Province is preparing for its 8thCongress taking place from the 6-7 May 2017.
Comrade Tumisang leaves behind his Mother and Father, Wife, five children, three brothers and one sister. As the SACP we send our sincere condolences to his family, friends and comrades.
