SACP Gauteng calls for full investigation of entire security management at the Legislature following "Boko Haram" attack on Legislature
25 July 2014
SACP Gauteng calls for a full investigation of the entire security establishment at the Gauteng Legislature. This follows two cases of serious security bridges involving Economic Freedom Fighters` ("Boko Haram") chaotic and anarchic attack of the Legislature.
SACP believes that the two incidences that took place on the day of the Premier`s State of Province Debate held on Tuesday, 01st July 2014, and the one that took place on Tuesday, 22nd July 2014 call for a full probe of the entire security management at the Legislature.
SACP believes that the entire security management should be held accountable for breaches at the National Key Point that on two occasions saw the ``Boko Haram"-inspired EFF invading the Legislature. The investigation should also seek to establish if there are any possible collusion and collaboration between the security management at the Legislature and EFF.
SACP wish to remind our people that in the period preceding the launch of the EFF, its leadership visited the home-ground of Boko Haram, Nigeria and to be further reminded that the full details of the Nigeria trip are yet to be disclosed. It is therefore no surprise that we see the use of such tactics and methods on national and key security installations in our country.
We have also seen incidences where EFF uses women and children to invade and illegally occupy land, hijack houses meant for the poor, and mobilise people to undermine the principles values of our constitution and democracy.
SACP calls on our people, the revolutionary people and working class to be vigilant, isolate and completely reject this chaotic and anarchic version of "Boko Haram" in our country. We believe the rejection of the EFF during national and provincial elections should be sustained as part of the defence of the revolution.
