SACP Mpumalanga saddened by Accident

6 June 2014

The SACP is saddened by the horrific accident which claimed lives in the R40 road near White river. We join millions of South African and send our heartfelt condolences to the families, relatives and friends of the victims. We wish those injured a speedy recovery.

We plead with motorists to be extra careful on the road to avoid more fatal accidents. One life lost is too many, we cannot afford to witness so many lives lost in our roads.

We further support the struggle waged by the Young Communist League of South Africa in the province. They are engaged on a fight for a better mode of transport in the most parts of former Kwandebele and what is offered by PUTCO. This affirms our assertion after the November 2013 horrific accident which claimed 30 lives, that a road cannot be notorious and killer without a catalyst.
