The South African Communist Party in the Eastern Cape Province will convene the 1st Plenary Session of the 5th Provincial Congress Provincial Executive Committee meeting on the 21 – 22 June 2008 in East London. The PEC will take the form of a Provincial Legkotla and focus among others:

• Central Committee led induction of the newly elected leadership
• The political report which will deal among other things with the evaluation of our 5th congress, the international, national and provincial situation, the state of governance in the province focusing on programmatic areas in line our congress call for a change in the provincial government. The Media is invited to a press conference to be held at 14H00, at the Calgary, on the 22nd of June 08 in East London.
