Blade Nzimande to Address Western Cape Council

Tomorrow morning, the General Secretary of the South African Communist Party
(SACP), Comrade Blade Nzimande will lead an SACP Central Committee
delegation in addressing the Provincial Council of the SACP in the Western
Cape Province as detailed below.

• VENUE : Ziphilele Hall, Community House, Salt River Road, Salt River, Cape Town
  

In his address, Nzimande will cover the following:

• SACP response to the Presidential State of the Nation Address
• Report back on the ANC-SACP bilateral and agreement on a new economic
  growth and development path
• The Financial Sector Campaign including an SACP Week of Action in March
  and the setting of a date for the NEDLAC Summit on the Financial Sector
• SACP position on developments in Swaziland and Zimbabwe

The Provincial Council will be attended by 150 delegates from the SACP
Provincial Executive Committee, 47 SACP branches and the Provincial
Executive Committees of the ANC, COSATU, SANCO, ANC Women's League, ANC
Youth League, COSAS and SASCO.

The rest of the SACP Central Committee delegation includes Jeremy Cronin
(SACP Deputy General Secretary) and Garth Strachan (SACP Central Committee
member).
