SACP General Secretary in the Eastern Cape

The South African Communist Party General Secretary Cde Blade Nzimande is to be in the Eastern Cape this weekend.

Comrade Nzimande is to address two very important events in the province. Nzimande?s presence in the Eastern Cape is to pay tribute on behalf of the SACP at the funeral of Comrade Simphiwe Mnguni; a former principal and provincial chairperson of the South African Democratic Teachers Union (SADTU) Cde Simphiwe was also the Provincial Executive Committee member (PEC) of the SACP in the province.

The funeral will also be attended and addressed by Comrade Willie Madisha, the president of both COSATU and SADTU, Comrade Zwelinzima Vavi, Secretary General COSATU.

The SACP General Secretary Cde Blade Nzimande will on the following day address the SACP local government elections rally. The event will also be the official launch of the SACP local government elections message.
