SACP statement on Mpumalanga Cabinet (Executive Council)

SACP statement on Mpumalanga Cabinet (Executive Council)

4 May 2004

The South African Communist Party (SACP) in the Mpumalanga Province is indeed pleased and welcomes the appointment of the executive council made by the Mpumalanga Premier Thabang Makwetla on 03 May 2004.

We are confident in the newly appointed executive council: the appointed members are seasoned cadres of the movement (ANC) and are politically matured and capable to improve the lives of our people in the Province. The Province will experience a new political breath and progress speedily in all fronts especially the pushing back of the frontiers of poverty and creation of work for our people.

The SACP gives them its full and undivided support. The key task of the executive council is to take forward the implementation of the manifesto and respond to the challenges raised by our people during elections campaigns in relation to service delivery and ensuring that the lives and conditions of ordinary people are drastically improved in terms of socio-economic and politically. Well done Comrade Premier for appointing men and women of quality to lead the Provincial Government.
