3 December 2014
The South African Communist Party (SACP) is greatly saddened by the untimely death of the Speaker of the Free State Provincial Legislature, Comrade Sisi Mabe. The SACP sends its deepest condolences to the family, friends and loved ones for the great loss suffered as well as to the organisations that she served.
Comrade Sisi Mabe served as the National Executive Committee and the National Working Committee Member of the African National Congress (ANC) and the ANC Women`s League. She passed on last Sunday 30 November 2014 after surrendering to an illness which she bravely fought against. Her departure leaves the Free State Province, ANC, ANC headed Alliance, ANCWL and the Progressive Women`s Movement which still needs to be built strong, all in deep sorrow.
Comrade Sisi Mabe was a leader who sacrificed her personal life for the benefit and betterment of our people. She paid more attention especially on the poor.
