SACP Mpumalanga Province press statement on the brutal murder of Bomber Ntshangase
6 May 2010
The SACP Mpumalanga province met an untimely death of comrade Bomber Ntshangase, who was a long serving member of the SACP and served in the Provincial Executive Committee and a District Executive Committee as a dedicated communist.
Comrade Bomber was a fearless fighter and outspoken on issues affecting the working class and the poor, his track-record of consistent activism in the Party leave us with no doubt that he was a committed communist. We pay tribute to the good work that the comrade has done in the South African Communist Party to make Mpumalanga Province to be one of the respected province in the Congress Movement.
We suspect he is one of the victims of anger from "enderpreneurs" as a result of our campaign on fighting against corruption especially in our province. This indicate that tenderpreneurs are willing to do anything that can hide their dubious actions even including murdering people who are known to be true community workers with an interest of serving society without any material or financial benefit. The killing of comrade Bomber Ntshangase will never intimidate communists in their fight against corruption. We call upon all people of Mpumalanga to rise against the scourge of corruption in memory of comrade Bomber Ntshangase as we believe that corruption is the foundation of all failed States.
We want to send our message of condolences to the family, friends and neighbours as he was familiar with the Know your neighbourhood campaign.
His memorial service will be held at Bethal Joseph Motlana hall on Friday the 7th of May 2010 at 14H00. The funeral service will be at Phongola in KZN on Sunday the 9th of May 2010.
May his soul rest in peace.
