SACP Kwazulu Natal press alert

The province of Kwazulu Natal SACP will be holding its Provincial Council on 21st February 2009, at Edgewood College in Pinetown starting at 9h00. 250 Delegates from SACP Branches across the province are expected to attend.
The highlight of the council will be the political overview report to be given by the Provincial Secretary. It is expected to cover the following:
- Elections campaign of 2009
- Global financial meltdown and its effect in South Africa
- Political development in Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka
- Bills passed by the parliament recently
ANC and COSATU are also expected to address the Council. The council is opened to the members of the media except on organizational matters in the afternoon.
The SACP will also hold a press conference on Monday, 23rd February 2009 at SADTU House Board Room, 321 Smith Street, Durban.
The press conference will start at 10h30.
