SACP Gauteng shocked by Dumisani Hlophe's vicious and venomous attack
19 December 2016
The South African Communist Party Gauteng Province is deeply shocked and dismayed by the unprovoked, unwarranted and unnecessary vicious and vitriolic attack by a scanty and nondescript intellectual of worst beginnings, Dumisani Hlophe.
This intellectually bankrupt and non-concrete phenomena parading as Dumisani Hlophe, just like a bolt from the blue, without any evidence or proof, merely hallucinated that the, "SACP is substantively dead". This literal act of day-dreaming titled, The year that liberation politics in SA declined, was published in the Sunday Independent, 18 December 2016, page 14.
Whilst we respect the absolute right of Dumisani Hlophe to write about the SACP without fear or favour, we are shocked that he is not ashamed to parody the failed Nationalist Party's legislated wish for a "substantively dead SACP".
Dumisani Hlophe's highly starved article brings back the painful memory that in 1950, the then Nationalist Party passed the most notorious Suppression of Communism Act. This Act was an attempt to liquidate the Communist Party of South Africa (CPSA), which reorganised itself underground and continued its uninterrupted existence as the South African Communist Party (SACP).
The SACP survived and outlived the National Party to this date, growing from strength to strength as confirmed by its qualitative and quantitative growth.
We are very much pleased that contrary to Dumisani Hlophe's wishes, acting as the last but surely decaying remnant of the Nationalist Party ambitions, following the resolution of the Augmented Central Committee (ACC) held last week, we will be celebrating the centenary of the 1917 Great October Socialist Revolution as a prelude to the SACP's own centenary in 2021.
We are pleased that as a province, we are privileged to host the opening centenary Rally of the Great October Socialist Revolution next year.
We are therefore confident that just as the SACP will be celebrating 100 years of its existence in 2021 it will survive the liquidationist efforts of the already mentally aging and intellectually exhausted Dumisani Hlope.
Whilst concrete experience shows that many great scholars tend to mature and grow intellectually with time as they benefit from real life experiences, we are deeply shocked by the Dumisani Hlophe phenomena, an unusual deviation that may constitute a new area of scientific and scholarly enquiry.
We are further confident that the SACP will live to see many more years deep into the future, whilst historical necessity may unleash its wrath against this anti-SACP, scandalous and intellectually pale buffoon of a worst type.
We are further confident that Dumisani Hlope, in his desperate attempt to cash-in and ride to fame at the expense of the living legacy of the SACP, will be left to the reverberating laugher of the mocking-birds as they frog-march him deep into the dustbin of history.
Long live the SACP as the intellectual bankruptcy of Dumisani Hlophe is laid to rest never to raise its ugly "head" again.
