SACP Gauteng Province unveils its Save The Capital City Programme
14 July 2016
SACP GP has successfully launched and unveiled its final seven days Save the Capital City Programme in Mamelodi, Solomon Mahlanagu Square today. The Programme is part of the SACP's contribution to a resounding ANC election victory on the 3rd August 2016.
ANC remains our historic and primary political Alliance partner, united behind pursuing the shared objectives of the National Democratic Revolution (NDR) contained in the Freedom Charter.
SACP resolved to focus its provincial election campaign in the City of Tshwane, the capital city and seat of state, to defend, consolidate and advance the NDR. We have noted that the historic enemy of the NDR is mounting a serious counter-revolutionary offensive in the Capital City.
We believe that the Capital City has become a battle-ground and territory that requires a decisive and combative engagement with the historic enemy of the NDR. It is for this reason that the slogan of this Programme is: Give No Space to the Enemy. Vote ANC.
The Programme includes a roll-out of 12 Banners in the main entrances and exit points in the townships and inner-city. Arrangements are also underway to identity a strategic building in the City for branding.
As part of the Programme, SACP will host its 95th Anniversary Celebration Gala Dinner in Mabopane, Odi Indoor Centre this Friday, 29th July 2016, seeking to engage the working class in Mabopane, Winterveldt, Garankuwa, Soshanguve leading to Hammanskraal.
Mayoral Candidate, Cde Thoko Didiza will deliver the Key-note Address to the 300 invited guests at the 95th Anniversary Gala Dinner.
On Friday, as part of the 95th Anniversary Celebration, we will start with a mass meeting in Atteridgeville, calling on the community to vote ANC.
We are deliberately targeting townships and the inner city as key areas of the working class and the historically oppressed people, as they constitute the main moving and motive force of the NDR. They are entrusted with the historic task of defending, advancing and consolidating the NDR.
Our Red Brigade will continue to play a key role in the ongoing ANC election Programme across the City and the province.
We are confident of a decisive, groundbreaking and resounding victory of the ANC to push back the frontiers of an Imperialist sponsored low intensity counter-revolution.
We therefore make a clarion call to action to the people to Give No Space to the Enemy.
Victory is certain, Aluta Continua.
