SACP Gauteng to intensify Qina Msebenzi (Tia Mosomi) Election Campaign
27 February 2014
The SACP Gauteng Province will intensify the Qina Msebenzi (Tia Mosomi) Election campaign in the week of Monday, 3rd March 2014. The campaign was formally launched this week, Tuesday, 25th February 2014 in the Oupa Phasha District, East of Gauteng. The purpose of the Campaign is to mobilise the industrial proletariat on the factory floor to vote for the African National Congress in the coming elections to be held on 7th May 2014.
The Campaign which entered its third day today, has been an overwhelming success. Workers came out in their large numbers to receive copies of the ANC Elections Manifesto and engage members of the Red Brigade. The campaign will be wrapped-up in the Oupa Phasha district tomorrow Friday, 28th February, and will then proceed for another week in the Tshwane District on Monday, the 3rd March 2014.
The key message is to call on workers to remain loyal to the movement of Nelson Mandela, Oliver Tambo, Joe Slovo and Chris Hani. Workers are called upon NOT to betray their own history, movement and profound principle of unity.
The Campaign constitute an extra-ordinary intervention by the SACP in the province to consolidate unity of the workers with the historically oppressed and exploited African and Black people in general.
The SACP is deeply encouraged by the positive attitude of workers and their commitment to vote ANC.
