The South African Communist Party (SACP) in the Free State Province conveys its heartfelt condolences to the families of 13 passengers who lost their lives in a fatal crash on Saturday, 2 March 2019. The fatal crash, involving a private car and two mini-bus taxis occurred between Fouriesburg and Bethlehem.
The SACP further wishes speedy recovery to several other passengers who sustained injuries during this accident. May the families and relatives of the deceased and injured have strength and be comfort during this painful period.
The Party applauds the emergency services personnel who responded to the accident scene and promptly intervened to save more lives in their rescue operation. The SACP urges the relevant governmental institutions to work considerately and speedily with the families in providing medical care to the injured and in identifying bodies of the deceased. Our thoughts and empathy are with the families and relatives of all involved is this tragic accident.
