SACP-Free State Congratulates Comrades Elias Sekgobelo "Ace" Magashule and Sisi Elisa Mabe

The South African Communist Party in the Free State would like to send its revolutionary wishes to the appointment by the ANC NEC as premier elect and election by the provincial legislature of comrade Elias Sekgobelo "Ace" Magashule as the Premier. This appointment, we all know, is the outcome of a long and strict internal democratic process of the African National Congress.

South Africans are the witness to tell the rest of the world that, it is only in the ANC where internal democracy continues to be deepened as compared to other political parties where one person decides on who is or not supposed to lead. We call on the ANC and the rest of the movement it leads, to retain and deepen its internal democratic character.

As the SACP in the Free State, we congratulate all comrades who have been sworn-in as Members of Provincial Legislature, the Speaker and Deputy Speakers. We wish Comrade Elias Sekgobelo "Ace" Magashule a term full of success and radical services to the people of the Free State as guided by the ANC Manifesto. Comrade Magashule has done very good work in his last term as the Premier and other terms as MEC in different executive portfolios. We are again looking forward to work and support him and his team as the Premier and provincial government, to continue changing the lives of the poor and the working people of the Free State.

As the elected Speaker of Provincial Legislature, we are indeed confident that Comrade Sisi Elisa Mabe will do us proud as the province. With her rich experience as an active Member of the Provincial Legislature in the past, we are confident that she will be able pull her oversight teams to ensure the provincial executive delivers its commitments to the poor and working people of the Free State. We will work and provide support to her as the leader and a comrade.

Let the work begin for which millions of our people voted ANC:

1. Create better jobs for poor and working people;
2. Transform rural areas to the betterment of poor and working people;
3. Continue to provide houses for poor people and also for low incoming earning people;
4. Improve and expand education and training for the benefits in the main of the children of the poor and working people;
5. Ensure quality health for all poor and working people, (an acceleration of NHI implementation);
6. Expand comprehensive social security for the millions of poor people whom their sole hope lies in the ANC government;
7. FIGHT CORRUTION AND CRIME;
8. Build a united nation that will play a critical role to the rest of the world.

We are looking forward to decisive action by elected representatives of the poeple.
