SACP Eastern Cape statement on the death of Mama Nolusapho Hani

8 October 2012

The South African Communist Party (SACP) in the Eastern Cape Province has learnt with great shock and sadness the passing away of Mama Nolusapho Hani; the wife of Victor Hani a brother to our late General Secretary Cde Chris Hani whose outstanding contribution in the struggle cannot be divorced from the role played by his family in nurturing the kind of a leader he was.

We wish to convey our deepest and heartfelt condolences to the Hani family, relatives, friends and people of Chris Hani region. This remains one of our important families who have sacrificed theirs sons and daughter for the freedom of this country.

Mama Nolusapho Hani will be laid to rest on the 13 October 2012 at Sabalele Village in Cofimvaba. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
