Dear Comrades,
On behalf of the Central Committee and the members of the Communist Party of Australia, I send our Party`s warmest fraternal greetings to the participants in the 13th Congress of the South African Communist Party.
Progressive people the world over admire the history of struggle of the South African Communist Party during its long and challenging existence, including the mighty battle against Apartheid. Many Australians were mobilised to offer solidarity by the bravery of the people of South Africa in those troubled times.
Today the principled role of the SACP in the tripartite alliance is providing an outstanding example for other sections of the worldwide Communist movement to learn from. We share your concerns about the deepening crisis of capitalism, its efforts to force austerity on the people and the drift towards news wars on the part of imperialism.
We wish to strengthen the ties between our two parties to better meet these global threats. We are confident the work of the 13th Congress of the South African Communist party will greatly enhance the effectiveness of your comrades during the difficult days ahead.
