Message from the Communist Party of Swaziland to the SACP on its 90th birthday   The Communist Party of Swaziland salutes the South African Communist Party on its 90th anniversary and extends its solidarity with the SACP in all aspects of its work to put South Africa on a socialist path. The SACP is the primary engine for change in SA in favour of equality, working class hegemony, pro-poor policies and social and economic justice. Without it little would have been achieved in these areas and there would be few prospects for a better future for all in SA.

The CPS also pays tribute to the historic and dynamic role of the SACP throughout the struggle against colonialism and apartheid. Our own party cadres’ knowledge of the details of this struggle is crucial to the development of our political education and communist outlook. The great leaders of the SACP down the years remain an inspiration to communists in all countries.

We also thank the SACP for its solidarity with the struggle for freedom in Swaziland and its consistent support for the development of a communist party in Swaziland to put socialism on the agenda of the Swazi struggle against the monarchic autocracy of Mswati III.

The CPS stresses the need for stronger communist involvement in the southern African region as a whole. It is important that communists and socialists from the countries of the region create bases for liaison and practical solidarity to advance progressive anti-capitalist agendas for change. The CPS would gladly contribute to this process, which we feel the SACP has the capacity and experience to foster and promote.

Viva the South African Communist Party Viva!
Socialism is the future – build it now
Viva communist internationalism – viva socialism for Africa!
