SACP Central Committee
Dear Comrades,
The New Communist Party of Britain sends its warmest fraternal greetings to the South African Communist Party celebrating the 90th anniversary of its foundation on 30th July.
From the beginning the South African communist movement was at the forefront of the struggle against colonialism and apartheid which eventually triumphed when the African National Congress won the first free elections in your country in 1994.
Co-operation, solidarity and concrete support have been the watchwords of South African and British communists, including ourselves, over decades of struggle. We fully support your efforts in defending the rights of working people and charting the road to socialism in South Africa and we look forward to continuing to build the bonds of friendship between our two parties.
Yours fraternally,
Andy Brooks
General Secretary
