Message of greetings for the 90 year anniversary of the SACP
Dear comrades,
The CC of the KKE sends warm comradely greetings to the communist men and women, members and cadres and friends of the South African Communist Party on the 90 year anniversary of the life and activity of their party. The power which played a decisive role so that the South African people could liberate themselves from the nationalist racist Apartheid regime. The valuable experience from your unrelenting class struggle in the most complex and difficult conditions, with every form of struggle constitutes an important legacy for the international communist movement.
We particularly appreciate the longstanding comradely bonds of friendship and solidarity, which connect our parties, our common struggles. We are united in our common belief in proletarian internationalism, in the victory of socialism-communism, our joint efforts for the regroupment of the International Communist Movement.
This element is extremely hopeful if we take into consideration that today in relation to our common struggle complex ideological-political problems are coming to the fore which require the elaborated response of the communists through the superiority of our Marxist-Leninist theory, through the dialectical combination of theory and practice.
We follow the developments in your country with great interest, during the period when a serious capitalist crisis of the over-accumulation of capital is being observed, which has broken out in a synchronised way in the major imperialist centres, such as the USA and the EU as well as in rising imperialist powers such as China and Russia and in other imperialist powers. It has been proved without a shadow of a doubt that the cause of the crisis is none other than the basic contradiction of capitalism, the contradiction capital-labour and not one or the other form of bourgeois management as bourgeois and opportunist forces claim.
The capitalist crisis is accompanied by the generalization of the anti-people offensive of the bourgeois class at the expense of the working class and the other poor popular strata, which as a general tendency is spreading to every country. At the same time the contradictions are on the increase and the competition between the bourgeois classes in the struggle for new areas of profitability is sharpening. Upheavals have been observed amongst the imperialist powers and realignments in their alliances. The contradictions between the USA and China are sharpening, Germany and Russia are seeking an enhanced role and through the approaches that they have both made to each other. Their fierce competition with other powers such as France is expressed through military conflicts- such as the unjust imperialist war in Libya,- which butcher the peoples in order to open up energy routes. The developments particularly in North Africa and the Middle East are linked to the objective for the advancement of the bourgeois modernizations necessary for big capital in order for it to safeguard increased profitability in continents such as Africa with rich natural resources. In these continually sharpening contradictions a group of plutocrats extort massive profits and the working class and popular strata experience mass poverty, malnutrition, housing shortages and medical shortages in the face of epidemics and Aids.
Today life itself and the experience of the people confirm that capitalist development brings sufferings and exploitation for the working class and the peoples and privileges and profits for the plutocrats. The conclusion which arises from this is that the monopolies have been further reinforced, the capitalist relations of production have been strengthened even more and in countries which in the past were marked by a relative delay in their development. The material pre-conditions for socialism have matured even further. In the era of imperialism, the motor force is the working class which is the class which will bring the new relations of production. It has been verified objectively that there is no intermediate stage or power between capitalism and socialism, as there does not exist intermediate socio-economic system.
In the framework of the global imperialist system the bourgeois class of every country promotes in every period advantageous alliances with smaller or bigger imperialist powers in order to perpetuate its profitability and savage capitalist exploitation of the working class and the poor popular strata.
Today it is being highlighted even more clearly that only the total calling into question of the capitalist path of development, the withdrawal from the imperialist organizations such as NATO and the EU can provide a way out and prospect to the people’s struggle. The necessity and timeliness of socialism, of the socialised and centrally-planned economy are the only answer to capitalist barbarity. The necessity and timeliness of socialism is not determined by the balance of forces at any given moment, by the current difficulties in the development of the class struggle, but by the maturing of the material pre-conditions for the construction of the new society.
In parallel, the communists must intensify their front against the opportunism of the so-called New Left and the European Left Party which seeks through the logic of "left unity" to have a corrosive and liquidationist impact on the communist parties, to trap the struggle of the workers within the framework of capitalist management, whitewashing capitalism. We must develop today a sharpened opposition to bourgeois and opportunist ideological constructs which consider the crisis of the capitalist system to be a debt crisis and limit themselves to incriminating neo-liberalism, a form of management of the system, and thus exonerating capitalism. They poison the thoughts of the working class and popular strata with the social-democratic proposal of so-called expanded state ownership which is not only a utopia in the conditions of the liberalised market, but is not a solution in the interests of the people, but a state which is a "vehicle" for the profitability of capital.
Dear comrades,
The communists in Greece are intensifying their efforts through organization in the workplaces for the development of the class struggle, the strengthening of PAME. They persist that party building should correspond to this task- above all in the workplaces- so that the necessity is understood, through the daily activity and the strengthening of the prospect of the social alliance, for the overthrow of the monopolies’ power. We seek through our daily struggle the promotion of our strategy which has as its main tasks the overthrow of capitalist barbarity, the change of the class which is in power and the construction of socialism-communism.
Dear comrades,
The Greek communists utilise the experience from the 90 year history of the SACP, from its indestructible bonds with the working class and toiling masses in South Africa.
The KKE is at your side in the common activity and struggle of our parties, in the decisive struggle against the monopolies and imperialism, in internationalist solidarity, in the struggle for the power of the working class, socialism.
With comradely greetings,
The CC of the KKE
