Solidarity Message to the South African Communist Party on the occasion of the 90th Anniversary of its founding
Istanbul, 27.07.2011
Dear comrades,
On behalf of the Central Committee of Communist Party of Turkey, we convey our fraternal greetings to your party on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of its founding.
Since its founding, South African Communist Party has waged a heroic struggle under very difficult conditions. The SACP skillfully managed to organize and rally all workers and the youth against the infamous apartheid regime, and finally succeeded in throwing one of the ugliest faces of capitalism into the garbage can of history. The SACP, along with the ANC, has played the leading role in changing the history of the African Continent.
Your party has been forged in the heat of these struggles; in the fight against racism, oppression, capitalist exploitation, colonialism and imperialist tyranny. The South African communists have seen almost all forms of struggles, including decades long clandestine work and armed struggle waged for the liberation of the people. Your sacrifices as well as your achievements are immense.
Comrades,
You have achieved many, and you play a crucial part in rebuilding your country so as to carry these achievements further ahead towards socialism. We highly appreciate the struggles of the SACP, and try to learn from your history and your current struggles.
You celebrate your 90th anniversary under very difficult circumstances for Africa and our planet. Capitalist imperialism has been going through one of its strongest crisis, while the exploiters strain every nerve to bear the burden of the crisis on the shoulders of toiling masses. They attack brutally on the gains of the working class, not only in imperialist centers, but also in the regions that have been made subservient to imperialism.
In order to sustain and restore its hegemony, imperialism have been manipulating and assimilating the legitimate demands of the Arab people so as to utilize them as a pretext for its wicked designs. The Tunisian and the Egyptian people have also overthrown the infamous, dictatorial regimes in their countries; yet, the imperialists have manipulated the people’s uprisings and their legitimate demands as a pretext to re-shape the Middle East and most of Africa through regime change that will restore its hegemony.
We believe that this unacceptable situation must be tackled by the communists in both political and ideological fronts. We also believe that the historical experiences of the SACP as well as its current struggles are utterly important and illuminating in this respect.
Once again, we congratulate the SACP on its 90th anniversary and convey our fraternal wishes for further advances in your struggles for socialism.
With comradely greetings,
Central Committee of Communist Party of Turkey
