Nzimande to Address SATAWU National Congress in Esselen Park

Tomorrow, the General Secretary of the South African Communist Party (SACP), Blade Nzimande, will address the National Congress of the South African Transport and Allied Workers' Union (SATAWU) as detailed below:

VENUE - Esselen Park, No. R25 Road, Kaalfontein, East Rand

The SACP delegation to the SATAWU Congress will include Jeremy Cronin (SACP Deputy General Secretary), Charles Setsubi (SACP Central Committee member) and Solly Mapaila (SACP National Organiser).

Nzimande's speech will focus on the following:

• The SACP's medium-term vision
• Working Class Struggles in the Transport Sector (organisation of taxi drivers, restructuring of the Road Accident Fund)
• The relationship between the Trade Union Movement and the Communist Party
• The 2004 elections
