SACP wishes Fawu a successful congress

22 August 2016

The South African Communist Party (SACP) is calling on all delegates and leaders to the national congress of the Food and Allied Workers Union (Fawu) expected to start today to maintain the union's affiliation to the Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu). Workers without unity will not achieve their immediate interests, aims and the ultimate goal of a society free of exploitation. Cosatu is and will remain the home of the food and allied workers. The SACP pledges to work together with Cosatu to entrench the federation as the home of the food and allied workers!

The SACP urges the current leadership of Fawu to place the unity of union and Cosatu above their own personal interests and preferences.
