The South African Communist Party (SACP) has been shocked by the saddening news of the untimely death of Comrade Kaizer Mohau, its former Spokesperson. The SACP expresses its message of solidarity and sincere condolences to the family of Mohau for the sore loss suffered.
Comrade Kaizer was found dead at his home in North West Province yesterday morning, 18 February 2016, after he was not seen for two consecutive days before his death. Investigations by all relevant authorities are important both into his disappearance and death, and will assist the family and the SACP to know what happened and take appropriate steps to find closure.
Comrade Kaizer was born on 21 March 1972 in Ikageng, Potchefstroom, North West Province. He left behind three sisters, one brother and three children. When he died he was working as the African National Congress (ANC) Sub-regional Organiser.
Comrade Kaizer Mohau previously worked in the Media Department of the SACP with dedication. He was amongst the first Party members post-1994 who were sent to Cuba to study. He will also be remembered for his previous role as the Spokesperson of the Friends of Jacob Zuma Campaign.
