The South African Communist Party (SACP) in the Moses Mabhida Province is not surprised with the recently released matric results which showed a decline in the provincial pass rate.
In fact, the party believes that under the circumstances in which learning and teaching were taking place in the province, these results were to be expected.
The SACP in the Moses Mabhida Province believes that the results are a reflection of the battle of the egos between the department and the unions.
The SACP in the Moses Mabhida province calls on both teacher unions and the department to put their egos aside and prioritise the education of our children.
The SACP intends engaging both departmental officials and the teacher unions in the province to find common ground and work together towards improving the education of our children.
To this effect, the SACP also intends engaging communities to be actively involved in the education of their children.
