The South African Communist Party (SACP) in the Western Cape has learnt with shock the dastardly and tragic killing of Comrade Ndoda Ngemntu by criminals on Saturday, 24th October 2015 evening. The SACP expresses its message of condolences to Comrade Ngemntu's family and other families that lost their loved ones during the fire.
Comrade Ngemntu was cowardly killed in a random shooting which left three people dead and others injured. The SACP wishes those who were injured a speedy and full recovery.
Comrade Ngemntu served as a leader in Ward 38 ANC branch, a former ANCYL Provincial Spokesperson and a former leader of COSAS and SASCO.
Comrade Ngemntu's departure has robbed the ANC-led movement of one the fearless organic intellectuals.
The heinous act which took away his life is an indication that the battle against crime remains one of the challenges our society is yet to overcome.
