The SACP congratulates the Communist Party of China on the successful conclusion of its 18th National Congress. Furthermore, we extend our congratulations to Cde Xi Jinping who was elected General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee at the first plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee.
The SACP congratulates the entire leadership collective that includes new members of the Standing Committee of the Politburo and the new Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and other bodies of the Central Committee.
We look forward to strengthening and raising to higher-level existing multilateral and bilateral party-to-party relations between the SACP and the CPC in the first instance, and enhance our government-to-government work. In this regard cultural exchanges and joint political development in the wave of the increased desperation of imperialism and the global capitalist crisis remain vital and must be pursued by both parties. We take comfort in the fact that the resolutions of the 18th National Congress reassert the greater development of the socialist trajectory and the Peoples Republic of China’s role in world affairs will crucial in that process.
