SACP statement on the passing away of Dr Neville Alexander

28 August 2012

The SACP deeps its red banner and sends its deepest condolences to the friends and family of the late Dr Neville Alexander.

Generally whilst we came from different approaches ideologically, his intellectual contribution was immense and his commitment to the liberation of our people unparalleled. Even when facing incarceration his commitment was found unwavering. For liberation he was prepared to make the highest sacrifice.

Dr Alexander made sterling contributions in the arena of development of indigenous languages.

His contribution will be sorely missed!
