The SACP welcomes the announcement of the election date by President of
the Republic Cde Kgalema Motlanthe today in parliament. Now we can
campaign with certainty.
The announcement of the date also provides us with an opportune moment
to be able to wrap up all the transitional matters and to prepare for
the new administration.
As the SACP we are ready to deliver an overwhelming ANC electoral
victory in the April 22 elections. The working class and the poor of
this country are ready to defend their gains!
