The SACP will hold the 6th Plenary Session of the 12th Congress Central Committee augmented to Provincial Treasurers, Provincial Gender coordinators and District Secretaries in Johannesburg.
The meeting will receive a political report to be delivered by the secretariat that will focus on the current political developments and the global economic crisis. The Central Committee will then discuss the SACP elections strategy in support of the ANC in the 2009 General Election and receive a briefing on the ANC Elections manifesto process. Furthermore, the Central Committee will assess the implementation of the 2008 Programme of action and adopt the framework for the 2009 Annual POA.
