SACP to hold the 2nd Plenary Session of the 12th Congress CC

The SACP will hold the 2nd Plenary Session of the 12th Congress Central Committee in an Augmented form from the 30th November to 02nd December 2007.

The Central Committee, to be attended by elected CC members, Provincial Chairpersons and Secretaries, Provincial Treasurers, Provincial Gender Convenors and 54 District Secretaries of the SACP will amongst others discuss the following:

1. The Political Report to be delivered by the General Secretary.
2. The state of the organisation report and the draft Programme of Action for 2008.
3. Discuss the implementation strategy of the South African Road to Socialism
4. Engage with the outcomes of the COSATU CC.
5. Finalise the SACP`s approach to the 52nd Conference of the ANC.

A post Central Committee press briefing will be held to brief members of the press of the outcomes of the meeting as follows:
