The beginning of October has signalled the beginning of one of the important months in the calendar of the SACP.
For the past eight years we have taken up a number of campaigns including Financial Sector Transformation, the Campaign for the defence of the more vulnerable workers, the Land and Agrarian reform campaign, the Campaigns on food and social security, fighting hunger and poverty, and the Public Transport Campaign.
These campaigns have scored a number of victories and have assisted us in mobilising a broad front of organisations in our communities to tackle challenges experienced in these various sectors.
This year the SACP’s Red October Campaign will focus on the state of our public health system. Furthermore, the Central Committee has decided that we convene Red Forums in our communities as part our campaign to report back on the successes of our campaigns and the outcomes of the 12th National Congress.
