SACP General Secretary Comrade Blade Nzimande to Speak to the Workers

The South African Communist Party (SACP) General Secretary Comrade Blade Nzimande is to address two major workers events over this weekend. Comrade Blade will start by addressing the NEHAWU rally in the Eastern Cape and the COSATU stayaway in Johannesburg on Monday.

Details of these events are as follows:

NEHAWU Rally

Venue: Sisa Dukashe Stadium, East London in the Eastern Cape
Date: Saturday, 25 June, 2005

At the above rally Comrade Blade Nzimande is expected to speak on the following issues:

  1. Key challenges facing the working class
  2. Building and strengthening of the public Sector
  3. Building of a developmental state and a pro working class and poor people public sector

COSATU stayaway

Date: Monday, 27 June 2005
Time: 09H00
Venue: Library Gardens / Beyers Naude Square

Issues Comrade Blade Nzimande is expected to address at the COSATU’s mass Action on Monday are as follows:

  1. Key Four demands of the working and the poor

(a) Quality Jobs
(b) Basic Services for all
(c) Land for the landless
(d) Access to finance
