SACP and Allies to Debate AGRI-SA Response to Demands for Accelerated land and Agarian Reform

Tomorrow, the South African Communist Party (SACP) together with more than 35 other organisations will debate programmes, strategies & responses to Agri-SA on land and agrarian reform.

This follows the month-long 2004 Red October programme of action ended with national marches which submitted memoranda of demands for the acceleration of land and agrarian reform to offices and affiliates of Agri-SA. Agri-SA has replied to these memoranda.

This debate will take place in a National Campaign Review Meeting which will be focused on reviewing and intensifying the Campaign for Land and Agrarian Reform launched in Red October 2004.

The Meeting will be held as follows:

The meeting will be attended by representatives from more than 35 organisations including COSATU, FAWU, the National Land Committee, the Land Access Movement of SA, the Landless People's Movement, churches, and other organisations.
