The Alliance Secretariat held a scheduled meeting today, 15 December 2004. The main issue before the Secretariat was the programme of action of the Alliance for 2005. The meeting also discussed joint activities for the early part of next, which will include the celebrations of the 93rd Anniversary of the African National Congress, as well as commemorations marking the tenth anniversary of the death of comrade Joe Slovo.
As we approach 50th anniversary of the Freedom Charter, the Alliance partners agreed to an Alliance programme of action for 2005 and recommitted themselves to decisively advancing the National Democratic Revolution in the coming year.
