National Consultative Conference on the SACP's Land Campaign starts in Johannesburg

This weekend the South African Communist Party (SACP) will hold a number of public activities as part of its Red-October Campaign for land reform.

This weekend's programme will start with the National Consultative Conference which started at 9am today (in Johannesburg) with more than 75 delegates from 57 organisations. The organisations include the ANC, COSATU, FAWU, the National Land Committee, the Methodist Church, SANGOCO, the National Co-operatives' Association of South Africa, the Landless People's Movement, AZAPO, PAC, and others (see full list below).

The media is invited to be part of the conference and a press briefing to be held at 13h00. The conference is held at COSATU House, 1 Leyds Street, corner Biccard, Braamfontein.
