SACP Central Committee to hold first meeting after 14 april elections

The 11th Congress Central Committee (CC) of the South African Communist Party (SACP) will hold its 8th Plenary Session (its second meeting for 2003) in Johannesburg from 14 to 16 May. This will be the CC's first plenary session since the 14 April election.

The CC meeting will be followed by a Press Conference to be held as follows:

The Political Report from the SACP General Secretary is a key SACP document which analyses the balance of forces after the 14 April elections and identifies roles and tasks of the SACP in the current period. The Political Report will shape the SACP discussions and work for the rest of 2004. Specifically, the Political Report covers the following issues:
