SACP TO ADDRESS COSATU'S 18TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS

The General Secretary of the South African Communist Party (SACP), Blade Nzimande, will deliver the SACP message of support to COSATU on its 18th Anniversary as follows:

VENUE - Braamfontein Recreation Centre, Braamfontein

The SACP message will focus on:

• Marking World AIDS Day and the need for emphasis on a united and concerted struggle against HIV/AIDS in the context of the national treatment plan announced by government recently
• Understanding the role and centrality of workers in transformation since 1994
• Mobilising workers and the poor against poverty, unemplyoyment, retrenchments and for building their power in the state, the economy and all of society
• The importance of working class ideological and cultural work
