The Departmens of Home Affairs, Health and Welfare will be at the launch to provide assistance and information to the people of Sabalele regarding registration for social security grants.

For the SACP, the Chris Hani Poverty Eradication Trail speaks to the person that Hani was. We remember Hani as a fighter against poverty and job losses.

In 1992, Hani led the SACP to launch the Health-Housing-Hunger Campaign. Through this campaign, Hani was making a contribution to improving the living conditions of all our people. During this period, Hani said “Socialism is not about big concepts… It is about safe drinking water… health care… a life of dignity”.
