The Minister of Defence and the National Chairperson of the African National Congress, Mosiua Lekota, and the President of the Congress of the South African Trade Unions, Willie Madisha (also a member of the SACP Political Bureau), and Mlungisi Hlongwane (President of the South African National Civics’ organisation) will join the launch of the 2002 Red October Campaign.
The launch is taking place as follows:

They will be joining the SACP General Secretary, Blade Nzimande, MEC Angie Motshekga (Gauteng MEC for Social Welfare) in listening to the residents of Thokoza about their needs and problems with the social security system.
