Media Accreditation at the SACP Congress

The South African Communist Party has reserved 50 spaces for the media at its 11th Congress to be held as detailed below.

DATE : Starting at 12h45 on Wednesday, 24 July
Ending at 13h30 on Sunday, 28 July
VENUE :Main Hall, Rustenburg Civic Centre, 1 Kloof Street, Rustenburg (North West Province)

DIRECTIONS - From Johannesburg (120 km)

• Option 1
  Take R47 in Roodepoort which becomes R24 in Krugersdorp which then leads through Magaliesburg all the way to Rustenburg. Street Directions in Rustenburg will be sent on Monday, 22 July.
• Option 2
  Take R512 through Randburg to Lanseria Airport, past Hartbeespoort Dam to join the N4 from Pretoria which then takes straight to Rustenburg. Street Directions in Rustenburg will be sent on Monday, 22 July.
• Option 3
  Call the SACP Media Dept as below or the Rustenburg Civic Centre on 014 590 3111

To book a space, journalists and other media representatives must contact the SACP Media Department using contact details below by 12h00 on Tuesday, 22 July 2002. From replies received, the SACP will then produce a registration list which will be used for media registration on Wednesday, 24 July. Registration will be done at the Congress venue as detailed above. Registration for media will open from 09h00 and (strictly) close at 11h30 on Wednesday, 24 July. No media representative will be allowed into the Congress venue without accreditation and registration.
