SACP Central Committee Meeting and Press Conference

10 Septemeber 2001

The Central Committee (CC) of the South African Communist Party (SACP) will hold its 3rd meeting for 2001 from Friday, 
14 September to Sunday, 16 September in Johannesburg.

This meeting will discuss, amongst others, the following issues:

• The way forward on the restructuring of state assets
• Preparations for the ANC-SACP-COSATU Alliance Summit
• Taking forward the SACP led Campaign to Make Banks Serve the People in view of the NEDLAC Summit on the financial sector due to be held in November 2001

PRESS CONFERENCE

Following the CC meeting, a press conference will be held as detailed below:

The Press Conference will be addressed by SACP officials including Blade Nzimande (General Secretary), Jeremy Cronin (Deputy General Secretary) and other SACP leaders.
