SACP To Hold Congress In KwaZulu Natal

The General Secretary of the South African Communist Party (SACP), Blade Nzimande, will address the 3rd Provincial Congress of the SACP in the KwaZulu Natal Province as detailed below.

The Congress, to be attended by 280 delegates, will start on Friday, 08 June and will be concluded with the announcement of its resolutions at a Press Conference to be held from 13h00 on Sunday, 10 June 2001.

Also invited are delegates from the ANC, COSATU, SANCO, SASCO, COSAS, ANC-YL, MPs, MPLs, Mayors, SACP Veterans SACP members in government, academics, the Swaziland Solidarity Network and SMME organisations.

The Congress will deliberate on a proposal for a Red Weekend Against Blacklisting targeting Credit Bureaus and the need for their regulation, said Smiso Nkwanyana, SACP Provincial Secretary in KwaZulu Natal.
