This is to announce that the South African Communist Party will meet with the Banking Council of South Africa as detailed below.
This meeting follows the SACP-led Campaign for the Transformation and Diversification of the Financial Sector, which culminated in marches across the country on 21 October 2000.
The meeting will be followed by a Press Conference, the details of which will be announced on 01 February 2001.
The SACP Central Committee Meeting to be held from 02 to 04 February 2001 will discuss preparations for the Banking Council Meeting and the way forward on the Financial Sector Campaign.
