SACP CENTRAL COMMITTEE MEETING AND PRESS CONFERENCE

The Central Committee (CC) of the South African Communist Party (SACP) will hold its first meeting for 2000 from Friday, 31 March to Sunday, 02 April in Johannesburg.

This meeting will discuss the following issues: -

• A political overview of the first quarter of 2000
• State of the economy
• Budget 2000
• Restructuring of state assets
• Public service restructuring and transformation
• Local government transformation and elections
